Cyclone Nargis

Devastation in Myanmar There are probably very few people on earth who are not aware of the suffering and damage done to Myanmar by cyclone Nagris which tore through the country some weeks ago. 130,000 dead, many missing and indescribable damage. Deaf people have been numbered with those who have lost life and property. Deaf Action's school for the deaf missed the brunt of the storm as it located in the north but the centre of our work was not so fortunate. Considerable damage has been done to our office, home for our director, the local church, and the fellowship building used in Yangon. 7 deaf families associated with our work lost their homes. Cost of food has gone sky high, jobs have been lost so survival is a priority at this stage. Donations for the Myanmar relief appeal can be made on line here.
